MarineMaster with Loc8™ Technology is a comprehensive security system for motor and sailing vessels offering unparalleled electronic watch-keeping.

Whether you just want the peace of mind that comes from knowing your boat is still where you left it, or you want full remote status and control of your on-board facilities, MarineMaster provides the optimum solution.

Using state-of-the-art Loc8™ Technology, one compact and easily concealed unit running from its own power supply monitors an internal GPS and various systems on your boat to determine any changes in position or security status.

MarineMaster is designed to avoid expensive satellite data transmission costs by using the reliable GSM network for data communication. Simple text messages from your mobile phone are used for control and to provide up to the minute location and status of your boat. Loc8ion™ messages can also be sent from MarineMaster to the CustomMarine server at regular intervals and using a secure web login, you can access Internet pages to track your boat with maps, navigation and status information.

Sleep peacefully in the knowledge that your boat is safe and sound with MarineMaster monitoring your on-board systems.

You can configure MarineMaster to send alarm messages to your mobile phone or even send you an email should something need your attention.

• Movement Alarms – So that you do not need your normal GPS system running, MarineMaster monitors the location of your boat using its own GPS receiver. If it moves outside the area you define, an alarm message that shows the boat’s current GPS position, its heading, speed and the distance it has moved will be sent.

• Intrusion Alarms – MarineMaster has a variety of connections for external alarm triggers such as switches, mats, Infra red motion detectors or even your existing alarm system. If an alarm is triggered, an easily understood message such as ‘Hatch Opened’ will be sent.

• Environment Alarms – MarineMaster automatically monitors systems such as the secondary battery charge and the ambient temperature. It has connections that allow it to monitor various external systems such as bilge water level, alternator output, service battery charge, engine running detection etc. In the event that an alarm condition is detected (for example the bilge water level is too high), MarineMaster will send the appropriate message.

‘What’s happening now?’

To get an up to the minute status report of your on-board systems including the location of your boat, simply send a message from your mobile phone to MarineMaster which will then reply with the information you require. Note that only mobile telephone numbers which you authorise are allowed to access your MarineMaster.

You can retrieve reports such as the ‘Status’ report showing the current condition of your on-board systems and the ‘Navigation’ report showing your boat’s current location with heading and speed.

Control Your On-board Systems
MarineMaster has a number of connections which can control electrical apparatus on your boat. By sending simple messages to MarineMaster, you can switch various systems on and off such as cabin lights, bilge pump etc.

Optional modules allow you to control other devices such as the fridge, cabin heaters, engine immobiliser etc.

CustomMarine can also provide suitable alarm detectors and control modules.

Tracking

• By logging into the CustomMarine secure Internet pages, you can track your boat from the Loc8ion™ navigation information sent by your MarineMaster.

• If you require remote real-time tracking, you can also call MarineMaster directly from an external PDA or PC running charting software. Note that remote access is only available from the telephome numbers you have previously configured.

• For local real-time tracking you can use the MarineMaster serial output. This output provides an RS232 (PC) level interface from the internal GPS receiver and may be used with an external PDA or PC running charting software. A separate data cable for PDA or PC connection is available on request.

Installation

MarineMaster has been designed for simple end-user installation. A GPS antenna is provided which should be mounted with a clear ‘electrical’ view of the sky. Good GPS reception is usually achievable from within the saloon.

For more complex solutions including engine immobilising, shore power control etc. CustomMarine can provide installation and commissioning services.

CustomMarine can also provide suitable alarm detectors and external control modules if required.

Dimensions

MarineMaster measures:

250mm X 105mm X 35mm (L x W x H) and contains an internal rechargeable battery system which is designed to power the device for several months between charges.
